covid-1984

The people never give up their liberties but under some delusion.
Edmund Burke

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
H.L Mencken

If you would have told me the following would happen in the year 2020 I would believe you: most of my family and friends would willingly place themselves under house arrest (i.e. quarantine) as a result of a certain company’s declaration of a “global pandemic” because an unfamiliar respiratory virus has been allegedly spreading among people and wreaking the same havoc a common cold or flu bug might.

To the misfortune of us all the most troubling symptom appears to be the supposed altruistic response from a united front of motherly governments worldwide. As expected, a typhoon of austerity has been the outcome. In this Machiavellian process people en masse are getting their first taste of life under fascism. If you would have told me the aforementioned would have played out in the year 2020, I repeat: I would have believed you. I would have believed you because “they who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Thankfully, life is good where I live. Outdoors remain open and free to roam. Neighbours of mine are generally available to spend time with in person (dare I say, less than six feet apart!), many of which are even huggable. The infectiousness of corporate state-media propaganda has a weak hold here in my community. I’m surrounded by free, skilful, intelligent people, an immunization against ignorance and apathy in its own right. The precipitation of my will to place myself in a healthy community. As the world I put behind me continues to collapse predictably into hysteria, economic collapse, mysophobia (a pathological fear of contamination), and technocratic totalitarianism, I have never felt better about the decisions I make.

I will say this: To all my loved ones who continue to await the restoration of “normality,” understand that you always have a choice to be free, to go outside, to break the spell of fear and servitude. Understand that to manipulate others into putting themselves under house-arrest or calling a snitch hotline on people who exercise their freedoms makes you a certified fascist, or at the very least, a confused victim of fascism.

To conclude, I won’t go into how the organized crime syndicates (a.k.a. “governments”) and their heinous media companies have chronically lied to you your entire life, and how it is no different in this recent sham “emergency”. Many incredible investigators have undertaken this role with more determination than I presently have available. See the ongoing exposé of this fraud here, here, here, and here.

Live well. Stay free.
